So, a little backstory, in the past year and a half I have become a hardcore Fairy Tail fan. Now to be clear, I haven’t read a lot of the manga. My focus is purely on the anime; the dubbed anime. I can’t really do subs; my eyes aren’t good enough to read the words and watch at the same time. Plus, I discovered Fairy Tail on Netflix, so I prefer it in English. I have seen most of the lasted manga chapters everything from the Gruvia double suicide to Human Acnologia falling out of the sky. I’ve decided to stop and wait for the new anime season to come out (if it does) and be dubbed. Fairy Tail has totally changed my style as a writer, I’ve used so much stuff from it and reinvented it to create my own characters, plots, and superpowers. Furthermore, like any anime fan who happens to be a writer, I’ve come up with various fanfictions and alternate plot routes for the series and decided to start writing some of them down. The most recent one I came up with Is called Nalu Fire-Field. The idea came to me the after seeing this picture of Natsu and Lucy lying together in a field of grass on Instagram.
Being the hardcore Nalu fan that I am my mind quick began to create a story. It was similar to those picture prompt essays the give children in school, only more fun (for me at least) because it was original. I’m not sure where it’s going to go, what I’m going to use it for or if I’m going to use it at all. I might even report a rewrite (probably will) with a new story and direction, but I just felt something special about this one and wanted to post it. So here it goes:
Natsu and Lucy lie together on a blanket in a flowery field near a forest. “Wow.” Lucy says, watching the petals dance in the breeze above them “It’s so beautiful” she says smiling. “Yeah, it is but you know what’s more beautiful?” Natsu says before turning over toward her, inhaling her scent and planting a kiss on her collarbone “he-he, Natsu” Lucy says implying he should stop. “Oh, come ‘on there’s nobody else here” Natsu he says climbing on top of her now biting her neck “That’s true,” she says closing her eyes as his mouth moves from her collar to her lips. Lucy wraps her arms around his muscular body pulling him closer, then grabs his head and moves it back to her neck “You like that huh” Natsu whispers “Yeah” she mutters eyes still closed as his head bobs up & down on her neck. Taking her hands off his head, she rolls them down to his vest and starts feeling up his chiseled torso while he reaches down and squeezes her butt. “Natsu (moan), Natsu (moan)” Lucy opens her eyes only to see a giant fireball heading straight for them “NATSU!!!” she screams in panic Natsu pops up from her neck “What!?” He shouts turning around to see the fireball right above them “HOLY!?!” Natsu quickly throws himself down on Lucy, completely covering her as the fireball crashes down on top of them causing a massive explosion.
The dust settles, and the smoke begins to clear as Natsu comes into view shielding and holding Lucy from the blast. “Lucy!! Are you ok?” “Yeah, I’m okay. What about you?” “I’m good, fire-proof skin remember,” Natsu says before climbing off of her and looking around at the devastation surrounding them, the once flower filled field now had a burnt circle with two teenagers in the middle. Lucy asks, “what was that?” “I don’t know but they’re coming from whatever that thing is” Natsu points to an airship flying over the field dropping more fiery balls of destruction as it flies over the field. “It’s an airship but why is it blowing up this field?” “I don’t know?” Natsu says pick himself up “but whatever the reason it’s going down,” he says activating his Fire Dragon iron fist and starting to run towards it “Wait I’ll take it down” “You?” “Yeah mean I can handle it, besides you have something more important to take care of.” “What?” “Natsu, this field is full of flammable plants, and the fires from the explosions are spreading toward that flammable forest.” Lucy points toward the now engulfed forest. “I can’t do anything about that, but I can shoot down an airship” Lucy says “Alright” Natsu says “It’s heading towards Magnolia, I’ll see if I can stop it before it gets there, you suck-up all those fires” Lucy “Got it, but be careful” Natsu says “You too” Lucy says as she heads toward the airship while Natsu races toward the forest-fire while rubbing his tummy “Alright stomach, time for lunch.”
